Attorney Adam Riser Named to Alumni Association Board

BRISTOL, RI – Higgins Cavanagh & Cooney attorney Adam D. Riser has been elected to the board of directors of the Roger Williams University School of Law Alumni Association. He will serve a three-year term of office, commencing July 1, 2014.

Roger Williams University School of Law is the only law school in Rhode Island. The law school was founded 20 years ago and now has more than 2,600 alumni working across the United States and around the world.

The Roger Williams University School of Law Alumni Association is active in keeping alumni updated and involved in school affairs. The association regularly hosts alumni networking events, including lunches, after-hours functions, regional alumni receptions, and an annual holiday reception. In addition, the association sponsors numerous continuing education programs for the legal community.

Adam Riser received his J.D., cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2012, where he was the managing editor of the Roger Williams University Law Review. He joined Higgins Cavanagh & Cooney in 2013 as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, following a judicial clerkship with the Rhode Island Supreme Court Law Clerk Department. Higgins, Cavanagh & Cooney is a 20-attorney, regional law firm based in Providence which serves the interests of businesses and individuals in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
